In Chile, for official documents you have to sign in blue biro… How about that! In England it is black and I had just assumed it must be a global thing but obiously not.
And the standard document size is Letter size… 8.5 by 11.0 inches, 215.9 by 279.4 millimetres. And again in my homelands it is A4… 210 by 297 millimetres, 8.267 by 11.692 inches.
I had been aware that contires vary in their prefered standard document size but the biro discovery was defitnitely an added bonus to the my fisrt expereince in a notary.
And how does one discover these things you might wonder… Well, it would seem that a certain Circus Seeker might be kick starting the official visa process here in Chile! Makes me wonder what other rules and regulations there are out there that differ from country to country? I am refering to the subtlties of papersize and ink colours here.
